About

Verax

Solid ground for testing trading ideas — honestly.

Our mission

Most "AI trading" tools sell confidence they don't have: glowing win-rates, green BUY buttons, promises of beating the market. Almost all of it collapses under honest testing.

Verax exists to do the opposite. We give you the tools to test a strategy the way a serious quant would — and to see, without illusions, whether it actually holds up. If a strategy doesn't beat buy-and-hold, we show you that plainly. The honesty is the product.

What Verax is — and is not

IT IS

An educational backtesting lab
A way to compare a rules-based bot against buy-and-hold
A transparent, no-black-box engine
A reality check against overfitting

IT IS NOT

An investment advisor or broker
A source of buy/sell signals
A predictor of future prices
A promise that any strategy makes money

How it works

1

The Verax strategy (Backtest Lab)

One fixed, transparent rule per asset: trade only when trend is up and momentum is positive; size positions by volatility; cut losses with a trailing stop; earn cash yield when out; diversify across uncorrelated assets. No AI, no hidden logic.

2

Honest testing

Indicators warm up on prior data; returns are measured out-of-sample; results are checked across regimes and neighboring parameters; realistic costs are always included.

3

Market Pulse

A descriptive read of today's environment. It describes the present — it never predicts the future.

The honest bottom line: Beating buy-and-hold on raw return is extremely hard — most professionals fail at it. The realistic, achievable goal is usually a better risk profile: similar returns with much smaller drawdowns. Verax helps you see whether that's truly happening.
